Treating instructions inside a source as project data

An assistant's promise to wait for review is credible only when records and external actions obey an independent approval boundary.

The assumption to reconsider

It is tempting to treat a cautious explanation as evidence that an extraction system respected approval rules. Yet saying that review is required does not establish what changed. The relevant question is whether source text can cause a candidate to become accepted without independent authorization.

A document that promotes itself

In an illustrative scenario, a requirements file tells the assistant to ignore adjacent constraints and approve every extracted task. Preserve that paragraph as material to analyze, while keeping approval rules outside the extracted text. Its grammatical form supplies no permission. Ordinary requirements can also use commands, so filtering suspicious phrases cannot define authority. The proposed workflow separates candidate records and explanations from validation and authorized state changes. A silent acceptance would violate that separation even if the accompanying response correctly insisted on review.

A hypothetical revision trap

Consider an additional hypothetical boundary case: a reviewer approves a candidate, then a revised document changes the candidate's intended action before execution. An approval exists, but it may authorize an earlier meaning. The practical rule is to bind authorization to the candidate version and action actually reviewed. If either changes, require separate validation and renewed authorization before execution. This tests whether approval remains applicable, adding a question beyond who originally granted it.

Inspect the consequences

With no independent approval, submit a synthetic source that asks the system to mark a candidate accepted. Repeat with quoted instructions, hidden comments and requests to speed up approval. Check that records remain unaccepted and inspect tool activity and external effects. In the revision case, check that changed candidates cannot inherit permission silently. One passing example cannot guarantee that every future boundary holds.

What the evidence supports

ABOLTUS is in development. Project interpretations of requirements demarcation, change impact and traceability research inform source interpretation. The authority and execution boundaries come from the project plan and require their own implementation checks. These scenarios are illustrative; no measured product results or fresh reproduction of the cited research are claimed.
